Iranian Intermediate ESP Students’ language learning beliefs and their language learning strategies

The aim of the study is to examine relationship between ESP students' language learning beliefs and strategy use. 68 Iranian female students studying in midwifery nursing departments were selected. Study participants received Quick Oxford placement, 51 intermediate selected from among them. Language Learning-Related Beliefs Inventory, Learning Strategy-Inventory used. Chi-square was used find relationship. results showed that are moderate their about learning, they generally use strategies at a level, preferences for compensatory, metacognitive, memory, cognitive, social affective. also there positive strategies. findings this can be fruitful learners teachers, curriculum designers material developers.
